Conservation is a Human Solution.
We embrace inclusive, innovative ideas to shape a future where people and nature are sustainable partners through the 3 pillars
Lasting conservation starts with the community.
Who are we?
Our Three Pillars
🌿 Our Core Mission
Our core mission is to support Lao PDR 🇱🇦 in achieving its Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) through people-centered climate solutions.
Our initiatives are built around 3 Pillars for Sustainable Change:
1️⃣ Forest Conservation and Restoration — engaging communities to conserve and protect national parks and community forests, while collaboratively restoring degraded areas within these ecosystems.
2️⃣ Ending Illegal Wildlife Trade — using education and storytelling to bridge science and narratives into impactful awareness. Our initiatives include the Save the Pangolins keychain project, educational board games, awareness campaigns, and active engagement with communities and schools.
3️⃣ Sustainable Livelihoods — empowering communities to break the cycle of poverty through systems and design thinking, entrepreneurship, and innovation that can benefit both people and nature
These pillars integrate both climate mitigation and adaptation efforts, guided by the transformative power of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) 💡 and Global Citizenship Education (GCED) 🌍.
Together, we aim to drive green economic growth, protect national parks and wildlife, mitigate deforestation and slash-and-burn practices, and empower communities to build a more resilient and sustainable future.

Our Founding Story: SEL and GCED
Our unique approach isn't built on theory; it's built on a proven success story. After attending the 11th Youth Leadership Workshop on GCED, funded by UNESCO APCEIU and MGIEP, our founder secured an experimentation grant.
This was an opportunity to test a core belief: that a Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) approach could be a powerful tool against the intertwined challenges of conservation and poverty. She launched a pilot project designed to test the direct link between SEL, GCED in conservation, and entrepreneurship.
The experiment was based on applying this integrated mindset, requiring participants to work together to achieve a specific outcome.
"The results were overwhelmingly positive". This evidence was a turning point. It permanently shifted our purpose: "We realized our work isn't about telling people to conserve; it's about empowering them to become the self-determined, courageous leaders who possess the tools to safeguard their own natural heritage and build a future where both the community and nature can thrive."
First Pillar
1. Forest Conservation and Restoration
We recognize that traditional forest restoration projects alone are not enough . We need both ecological expertise and local commitment. Our work strategically pairs technical conservation with empowerment programs that enable youth and communities to be the indispensable primary guardians of their forests. This shift from reliance on external support to local ownership is driven by the SEL principle of decision-making and the GCED value of local stewardship.
Second Pillar
2. End Illegal Wildlife TradeWe believe that ending illegal wildlife trade begins with changing mindsets and empowering communities. Our approach combines storytelling, community involvement, and creative advocacy through keychains that serve as symbols of awareness and change. Through Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), we aim to cultivate empathy, responsibility, and teamwork among youth and local communities — fostering emotional connections to wildlife and strengthening collective action against trafficking
Third Pillar
3. Sustainable Livelihoods — reducing poverty through entrepreneurship and innovationWe firmly believe that conservation is not possible where communities are struggling with poverty and unmet basic needs. To change this dynamic, we strategically target poverty reduction by developing sustainable livelihoods. We train youth in ethical entrepreneurship using systems thinking and design thinking to create profitable, eco-friendly businesses. This is reinforced by SEL, which instills the necessary self-management and teamwork skills, and GCED, which ensures every economic venture is human rights-centered and serves the collective conservation good.
We believe in Education and Storytelling
Storytelling is the future of conservation. Facts inform, but stories move people to act—and stories are the most critical tool for global change.
Our mission is two-fold: We empower youth to become compelling communicators by providing rigorous education in narrative and communication.
We not only actively share the powerful stories we create but also aim to inspire others to join the movement and become storytellers themselves.
This approach translates their lived, local expertise regarding conservation successes and challenges into globally influential narratives. By amplifying their voices, we strengthen active civic engagement and ensure essential local knowledge becomes a powerful force that shapes global awareness and policy influence.

We believe that.....
Understanding is the First Step: We believe the path to effective solutions begins with
understanding the problem from every angle. We prioritize deep listening and
insight as the essential first step to tackling challenges.
We believe in.....
The Power of Kindness: We lead with kindness in every community we serve. Compassion and
respect build the trust and strong relationships necessary for lasting change.
We believe in
Making People Feel Heard and recognized for their contributions. Valuing everyone's effort is essential to building strong, self-determined communities.
We believe in
Win-Win Solutions: We champion a vision where nature and people live together in
harmony. Our goal is to find practical, win-win solutions that benefit both the
environment and the community.
We believe in
The Impact of Storytelling: We believe storytelling can move people to act more than facts or
statistics. We utilize narrative as the most critical tool for inspiration and global awareness.
We believe in
Leading by Example: We are committed to leading with a good example for every youth involved with us, demonstrating the integrity, passion, and collaborative
spirit required for true leadership. Our VISION
A future for Lao PDR defined by self-reliance and ecological harmony, where communities, guided by SEL and GCED, lead the way in sustainable development, ensuring the 70% forest cover goal is a foundation for permanent economic prosperity.
We believe in the potential of our people
"We fundamentally believe in the potential of our people. Our mission is to support them, not lead them, creating collaborative spaces where communities find solutions. In all our partnerships, we are committed to amplifying their voice and giving them full credit for their progress. Our work is driven by Open-Mindedness, Leading by Good Example, and Passion." — Latdavanh Keodala
